As an integral member of our Outpatient Pediatric Hematology/Oncology team you will utilize the nursing process in a collaborative manner to plan, implement and evaluate nursing care.
Collecting comprehensive data pertinent to patient’s health or situation in a systematic and ongoing process involving the patient, family and other providers
Analyzing assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues
Identifying expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation
Defining and documenting measurable goals and time frames
Developing an individualized plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain the expected outcomes in collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team
Coordinating and implementing plans of care in a safe, timely manner utilizing evidence-based interventions and treatments specific to the diagnosis or problem
Conducting a systematic, ongoing and criterion-based evaluation of the outcomes in relation to the plan of care
Documenting care and revising plans as needed
Providing individualized health teaching and promotion
Ensuring established regulatory standards are followed and adhered to
Performing other duties as necessary
To qualify, you must have a NJ RN license (BSN preferred), and current clinical experience. Successful completion of BLS, a department specific orientation and department specific certifications such as PALS, ACLS, etc. will be expected, as will excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal and multi-tasking skills. PEDs oncology experience, Chemo Certification and bilingual skills are preferred.
