Responsible for the strategic growth and development of the Oncology service line. Develop and support clinical products focused heavily on care across the continuum. In addition, the Administrative Director is responsible to enforce generic standards of nursing practice for the hospital and to ensure that nursing care is provided in accordance with those standards.
Essential Job Functions
Ability to work in a matrixed leadership structure with a physician leader(s), and admin leader who have aligned incentives and shared accountability for performance metrics.
Drive quality outcomes through patient/consumer centric care, improved care coordination, chronic disease management and population health management.
Develop innovative patient/consumer centric products and programs across the care continuum, which are both efficient and effective, while enhancing the patient experience.
Increase the number of covered lives cared for by the health system in Oncology.
Develop strategic goals for Oncology, utilizing analytics, and collaborate with operational leaders to execute.
Develop and execute Oncology service line budget, monitoring monthly against actual performance.
Assess and evaluate capital needs for Oncology and make capital budget recommendations to facility and system CEOs.
Perform thorough business and financial analyses, including proformas, on all service line products and services. This includes new projects, financial forecasts, volume projections, proposed capital investments
In collaboration with our Marketing Communications, develop Oncology marketing strategy, including internal and external with a focus on social media and mobile device access, which will successfully increase the brand and image of Bon Secours St. Francis Oncology service line as measured by market preference surveys; volumes as measured by covered lives, inpatient and outpatient market share; and margin as measured by contribution margin and profitability.
Develop and implement educational opportunities across the community that focus on wellness and prevention; i.e. health fairs, screenings, physician seminars, EMS education
In a matrixed leadership structure, leverage influence, relationships and a team approach to drive outcomes.
Lead and/or collaborate BSHSI wide to drive standardization, leverage efficiencies/economies of scale and promote systemness across the ministry.
Masters degree in Nursing Administration, Healthcare Administration, or Business preferred.
Experience in Oncology required.
Minimum 5 years experience in a health delivery system in a significant leadership role.
Position requires broad knowledge of health care delivery management, financial analysis & budgeting, business development, marketing and physician alignment.
Experience with high ability to interact in complex situations and develop effective strategic relationships with multiple constituents including leaders across the health system, physicians, and community partners.
Current RN licensure with South Carolina State Board preferred.
